Hello all and thanks for viewing!
Angela Wagner here. I am a mother of two daughters, a high school English Language Arts teacher in northern Alabama, and an educational technology enthusiast who loves to use creative ideas, strategies, and tools in my classroom. I earned my M.Ed. from Penn State in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Children’s Literature and currently am working to earn my Doctorate in Educational Technology from Boise State University. I love presenting at EdCamps and teacher technology professional development sessions. I previously taught in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and became a writing consultant for the Tampa Bay Area Writing Project, a sector of the National Writing Project I most recently became an Apple Certified teacher, Google Level 2 Certified Educator, an Osmo Ambassador, and a Remind Connected Educator.
I am a creative person who loves music, reading, and learning. Personally and professionally, I love books, and I’m always on the lookout for resourceful ways to increase student engagement, enrich the learning environment, and cultivate a love of the written word. My current efforts are attentive to exploring creative ways to integrate technology into the English Language Arts curriculum. Teaching in a 1:1 school district affords ample opportunity to do so, but it is still a work in progress as tools and technology evolve.
Focusing on student-centered entries, readers can anticipate posts on new and emergent technology, the blended 1:1 classroom, games and apps for the education, and reflections on the use of these within the English Language Arts realm.
